About this site
This site is an independent, unofficial reference for ANANTA, the free-to-play urban open-world RPG developed by Naked Rain Studio and published by NetEase Games, scheduled for January 15, 2027 on PlayStation 5, PC, iOS and Android. It is written for people who are deciding whether to care about the game before it is out, and who want to know which facts are official and which are not.
What this site is
- A small, hand-maintained English reference covering the game's release date, platforms, versions, pre-registration and the questions people actually search for — free-to-play status, character acquisition, multiplayer scope, the old project name, and system requirements.
- A site where every dated claim carries the source it came from and the day it was checked. Where a store page and the publisher disagree, both are shown rather than averaged.
- A site that is explicit about the unknowns. System requirements, multiplayer scope and any Xbox version are unpublished, and the pages say so instead of guessing.
What this site is not
- Not official. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Naked Rain Studio, NetEase Games, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Valve, Apple or Google.
- Not a wiki you can edit. There is no account, no comment system and no user-submitted content.
- Not a store. Nothing is sold here and there is no affiliate link to a purchase.
- Not a news wire. Rumour, leaks and unverified community numbers are not treated as facts, and community benchmark tables are not republished as system requirements.
Who maintains it
The site is maintained as a single-person editorial project under the name ANANTA Guide. There is no company behind it and no advertising running on it today. Pages are written against a source ledger kept alongside the site: each fact records where it came from, when it was read, and which page depends on it.
Because the game is unreleased, there is no game version to name — the version stamp on every page is therefore a check date ("Pre-release · checked 2026-09-23") rather than a build number. When the game ships and NetEase starts publishing builds, that third field becomes a version.
How sources are chosen
- First-party first. Official site pages, the Steam store API and store page, the PlayStation Store concept page, Apple's lookup API and the Google Play listing, and the publisher's own video channel.
- Second-party and press next, and labelled. Wikipedia and the trade press are used for background — the rename from Project Mugen, development history, platform scope — and are marked as background rather than treated as the publisher's word. Background detail adapted from Wikipedia's Ananta (video game) article is used under CC BY-SA 4.0.
- Community content is not used for numbers. Where a community post or a community thread would be the only source for a figure, the figure does not appear here. Several threads in this site's research round were also unreachable behind a network block, and nothing from them is published.
Corrections
If something here is wrong or out of date, say so — the contact page explains what to send and where to send it. Corrections that come with a link to an official page are acted on first; where the fix changes a fact, this page's sibling pages — the release date page and the platforms page — are updated in the same pass so the site does not contradict itself.
